Courtesy of SummerfestThe list of headliners for the 2018 edition of Milwaukee’s annual Summerfest has been announced and it features popular artists from a wide variety of genres, including quite a few veteran acts.

Among the stars of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s who will entertain the crowds this year at the festival grounds are Steven Tyler, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Cheap Trick, Rick Springfield, Boz Scaggs, A Flock of Seagulls, Howard Jones, The Edgar Winter Group, Jethro Tull, Gin Blossoms, Nick Lowe and George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

There also will be performances by blues great Buddy Guy and by Cornerstones of Rock, which brings together five Chicago-area groups from the late 1960s and early ’70s: The Buckinghams, The Cryan’ Shames, The Ides of March, The Shadows of Knight and The New Colony Six.

The 2018 Summerfest will take place June 27 to July 1 and July 3 to July 8 at Henry Maier Festival Park in downtown Milwaukee. Billed as “the World’s Largest Music Festival,” the 11-day event features more than 800 acts performing on 12 stages.

Tickets to Summerfest will grant you access to performances at the various grounds stages, while a number of separate ticketed events will be held at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Among the ticketed performances are a June 28 concert featuring James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt and a July 4 show with Journey and Def Leppard.
