Henry DiltzRusty Young has released a video for “My Friend,” a track from his debut solo album, Waitin’ For the Sun. As you might expect, it features two of the Poco guitarist’s friends: his former bandmates Richie Furay and The Eagles’ Timothy B. Schmidt.

Young says he wrote the song “about Poco over the years and the friendships we share to this day. That’s why I called Richie and Timothy; the song is about them. It’s about all of the guys, who have been part of this band, over the years, we are all still friends on this magical trip.”

Rusty says “My Friend” is his favorite song on Waitin’ For the Sun, and that it basically came to him full-formed.

“Sometimes as a songwriter, you just get lucky,” He said. “A song comes to you and you just have to write it down and not get in the way…this song was a gift.”

“My Friend” is streaming now on YouTube.
