“Finding Agates” Workshop at Library July 28

The Munising School Public Library will present a workshop on July 28 at 3:30 p.m. entitled “Finding Agates” by local rock hound Steve Makinen. With years of experience walking the local beaches in search of the elusive agate, Steve has amassed a wealth of knowledge as to how best to locate and identify agates and has agreed to share his expertise at this exciting workshop. Steve will point out the tell tale signs of an agate and let you know how you too can find a few of these Lake Superior treasures. Bring along a few of your rocks and he will be happy to look at them. For more information please call the library at 387-2125.
