PRNewsFoto/Verve Music GroupMy Dream Duets, Barry Manilow‘s album of collaborations featuring him singing with artists who are no longer with us, now has a release date: October 27.

Manilow created the album taking the original vocal tracks from each artist’s original recording, re-orchestrating the arrangements, and recording all-new musical tracks. As a result, the songs “sound as if they were recorded yesterday,” Barry says in a statement, adding, “The album is a miracle. It’s been a huge undertaking, musically and technically.”

Among the artists with whom Manilow duets with on the album are John Denver, Mama Cass Elliot, Dusty Springfield, Whitney Houston, Marilyn Monroe, Sammy Davis Jr. and Judy Garland. “Having the opportunity to record these legendary standards with artists whom I admire so much was really a dream come true,” he says.
