Credit: Penny LancasterAttending a Rod Stewart concert is a dangerous business — at least according to one fan, who’s now suing the singer for breaking his nose.

Page Six reports that according to court papers, Mostafe Kashe claims that when he attended one of Rod’s concerts at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in 2012, Rod kicked a soccer ball into the audience, which smashed into his face with enough force to bust his nose. He’s now suing Rod as well as the concert promoter, AEG Live, claiming negligence and “failure to warn” patrons that they might be struck with “sufficient force so as to potentially injure” them.

The complaint further notes that Rod isn’t just randomly winging balls into the crowd: his kicks pack a serious punch due to his longstanding involvement in the sport. “Stewart has significant experience in the sport of soccer and experience in kicking soccer balls, having previously tried out for a professional soccer team in the U.K. and regularly playing in amateur soccer leagues since his youth,” says Kashe’s complaint.

Kashe claims he had to cut his vacation short after being injured and is now seeking more than $10,000 in damages for lost wages, cosmetic damage and attorney’s fees.
