Universal Music EnterprisesTears for Fears‘ breakout 1985 album Songs from the Big Chair will get the deluxe reissue treatment on November 11. The remastered record will be available in multiple configurations, including a six-disc deluxe box set featuring four CDs and two DVDs.

In addition to a revamped edition of the U.K. band’s original album, the deluxe package contains a variety of bonus tracks, including single edits, remixes, alternate and extended versions, live performances and an audio interview. The box set also includes a DVD-Audio disc offering a 5.1 surround sound mix of the original album and a DVD boasting promotional videos, a making-of documentary, an interview with producer Chris Hughes and several vintage TV performances.

The updated Songs from the Big Chair also will be sold as a two-CD set, a single CD, an LP on 180-gram vinyl and a Pure Audio Blu-ray disc.

Songs from the Big Chair spent several weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 during the summer of ’85, and featured the chart-topping singles “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and “Shout,” as well as the hits “Head over Heels” and “Mothers Talks.” The album has sold more than five million copies in the U.S. alone, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
