Live Nation EntertainmentFleetwood Mac fans will have more opportunities to see the recently-reunited Rumours-era lineup in concert. The band, which kicked off a 40-date fall North American tour on September 30, has added 28 new shows to their itinerary, beginning early next year.

The new series of dates run from a January 16 concert in St. Paul, Minnesota, through a March 31 performance in Wichita, Kansas. Among the many other major cities Fleetwood Mac will visit next year are New York, Toronto, Montreal, Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Nashville, St. Loui,s and Kansas City, Missouri.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale to the general public on October 20 via the Live Nation mobile app and LiveNation.com. American Express card members will be access to buy pre-sale tickets starting this Monday, October 13, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Fleetwood Mac announced the new North American leg this morning during an appearance on NBC’s Today show. The band also played four of its classic songs: “The Chain,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Gypsy,” and “Little Lies.”

During the group’s visit, Stevie Nicks commented about the recent return of singer/keyboardist Christine McVie, who’d retired from Fleetwood Mac in 1998. “It’s hard to really believe that she actually ever left,” said Nicks. “It’s almost like the 16 years that she was gone didn’t exist.”

Added Lindsey Buckingham, “It really feels very much like a beautiful, profound, poetic new chapter for this band. It’s something that’s gonna go on for quite some time.”

Fleetwood Mac’s current tour leg continues with a concert this Friday in Boston, and runs through a December 20 gig in Tampa, Florida.
