Image Courtesy of Universal MusicThe MTV European Music Awards have added one of the Europe’s — and really, the world’s — biggest bands to its list of performers: U2. The 2014 edition of the MTV EMAs, which takes place Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland, will mark the Irish band’s fourth performing appearance at the awards show.

U2’s most recent performance at the MTV EMAs was in 2009. The band performed a medley of “One” and “Magnificent,” as well as a rendition of “Sunday Bloody Sunday” alongside rapper Jay Z.

Other performers at the 2014 MTV EMAs include a number of pop artists who are much younger than U2, such as Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX.

Additionally, Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Global Icon Award at the ceremony. As you’d expect, the majority of nominees for the various MTV EMA honors are young pop acts. You can check out a full list of nominated artists at TV.MTVEMA.com.

U.S. viewers will be able to watch the event Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on MTV.
