ABC/Adam Taylor; Neal PrestonU2‘s week-long residency on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that was to begin Monday has been canceled because Bono injured his arm while bicycling in New York City.

The Edge, Larry Mullins, and Adam Clayton made the annoucement on the band’s site on Sunday.

“[W]e’re one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it,” reads the message. The band continued, “We’re sure he’ll make a full recovery soon, so we’ll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding.”
