Jim Chapin; Dan Burn-FortiFamed Faces and Small Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan has been confirmed as opening act for all of the dates on Nick Lowe‘s Quality Holiday Revue. The 13-show yuletide-season trek kicks off tonight, December 3, in Minneapolis and is scheduled through a December 20 concert in Brooklyn, New York.

Throughout the tour, Lowe will be backed by those wrestling-mask-wearing surf-rock marauders, Los Straitjackets. The shows will feature the veteran British singer/songwriter playing a mix of his classic songs alongside various holiday-themed tunes, including selections from his 2013 Christmas album, Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All the Family.

In other news, McLagan has lined up several headlining concerts with his longtime backing group The Bump Band in January in his adopted home state of Texas. He also has signed on to play at the 2015 Vancouver Island Music Festival in Courtenay, Canada, in July.

Meanwhile, Ian has posted a message on his official website telling fans that if they don’t make it to one of the holiday shows, “perhaps I’ll see you in 2015 with some other old pals.” While McLagan could very be talking about The Bump Band, he also may be hinting that a much-talked-about Faces reunion might finally be in the offing. We’ll have to wait and see.
