March 6th The 18th Annual Taste and Glide: a fun filled family eat and ski event from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants pay a fee and then ski from one trail side buffet table to the next, sampling and enjoying many delicious foods, such as chocolate covered strawberries! The trail side buffets are accessible from both the traditional and the skating trails. Hot foods and beverages are available in heated lodge. Entertainment will be provided. March 13th: The Snowman Triathlon will be held at Valley Spur. Participates will ski, snow shoe and run. Participates can either do all three or create a team of participates to split up the work. Race starts at 9:30 a.m. and participates must be registered by 9:00 a.m. the day of the race. For more information contact Kurt Harger who is heading up this event.
Additionally Mid season rates for season passes are 1/2 price at $40. and kids 17 and under ski free.
The trails are in great shape and there is plenty of skiing left this year. Also on Saturdays and Sundays come into the lodge and enjoy homemade soup and bread that is donated by the Cooking Carberry’s. Donations are appreciated for the soup and bread they go to the Valley Spur ski system.
