Credit: Randee St. NicholasMelissa Manchester has announced a series of promotional appearances and tour dates in conjunction with the release of her upcoming studio album, You Gotta Love the Life, which is due out on February 10.

In advance of the album’s arrival, Manchester will give a January 29 in-store performance at the Barnes & Noble at The Grove at Farmers Market in Los Angeles. That will be followed by a January 31 release party at Spaghettini & The Dave Koz Lounge, a new venue and eatery in Beverly Hills, California.

On February 10 itself, the singer/songwriter will take part in a Q&A and performance event at the Grammy Museum in L.A. In addition, Manchester will appear on an episode of the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family premiering February 16, as well as an episode of PBS’ Tavis Smiley whose air date will be announced soon.

Melissa’s busy schedule also includes taking part in a two-day series of master classes at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell on February 26 and 27, which will be followed by a concert at the school on February 28. Manchester’s itinerary also features a four-show, March 26-28 engagement at New York City’s 54 Below club. Her itinerary is mapped out through a May 16 concert in Dowagiac, Michigan.

You Gotta Love the Life is Melissa’s first studio album in more than 10 years. The 14-track collection features guest appearances by Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Al Jarreau, acclaimed sax player Dave Koz and, in one of his final recordings, jazz pianist Joe Sample. The record’s lead single, “Feelin’ for You,” which features guitar work by contemporary blues artist Keb’ Mo’, will be released to radio on January 19. A clip of the track currently is streaming at Manchester’s official SoundCloud page.
