Image Courtesy of Capitol RecordsBrian Wilson has announced plans to hit the road for a North American summer tour. The trek is scheduled to kick off June 19 in Saratoga, California, and is mapped out through a July 12 show in Seattle.

Two of the Beach Boys mastermind’s former band mates, Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, will be joining him and his backing group on the trek, while veteran Detroit singer/songwriter Rodriguez, star of the award-winning documentary Search for Sugarman, will be the opening act. Jardine and Chaplin also were special guests on Brian’s 2014 tour and both contributed to his upcoming solo album, No Pier Pressure, which will be released on April 7.

The forthcoming trek will feature more than 15 dates, including performances in San Diego, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, the New York City area, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas.

The tour will launch about two weeks after the Wilson biopic Love & Mercy opens in theaters. The film’s premiere date is June 5.
