Image Courtesy of Nels IsraelsonJackson Browne recently announced a U.S. summer tour that will visit a variety of cities in the Western U.S. during late July and August, Now the lauded singer/songwriter has added a run of September concerts that will bring him to venues in the Midwest and Northeast. The new dates are mapped out from a September 5 performance at the Ravinia Festival in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois, through a September 27 show in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Browne also will stop in such major cities as Cleveland, Cincinnati, Boston and Brooklyn, New York, and has lined up two-night stands in Port Chester, New York and Red Bank, New Jersey.

The 66-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s trek is in support of his latest studio album, Standing in the Breach, which was released last October. Tickets some of Browne’s U.S. concerts are on sale now, while others will be available soon. Visit JacksonBrowne.com for details.

Browne recently launched a short tour of Japan that wraps up March 19. He’s also scheduled to perform at a couple of charity shows in California next month — an event called The Concert for Social Justice in Los Angeles April 8, and the Circle of Friends Benefit in Escondido on April 9. After that, Jackson will head out on a major European leg that runs from a May 24 concert in Rome through a July 7 stop in San Javier, Spain.
