Credit: Jo LopezLongtime E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren is getting ready to hit the road for a spring tour that will see him performing as an acoustic duo with multi-instrumentalist Greg Varlotta at a variety of small venues in the Eastern U.S. The trek currently is scheduled to run from a May 1 show in Wyckoff, New Jersey, through a June 8-9 stand in Alexandria, Virginia.

The tour, which features a dozen confirmed shows, also includes a performance at B.B King Blues Club & Grill in New York City and a sold-out June 5-6 engagement at the Rams Head on Stage in Annapolis, Maryland. In addition, Nils has lined up a September 12 concert in his adopted hoemtown of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Meanwhile, Lofgren is planning to reissue his 1997 concert album Acoustic Live as a two-LP vinyl set, and his self-titled 1975 solo debut, aka the “Fat Man” album,” on CD. No release dates have been announced yet but visit for the latest details.
