Entertainment One MusicAmerica is digging into its vaults to put together a collection of archival recordings for a new album called Lost & Found. The record, which will feature previously unheard original songs by Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, will be released sometime in May, although it initially will only be available for purchase at the pop-rock band’s concerts.

A streaming sampler of several songs from Lost & Found has been posted on a specially created SoundCloud page. America’s most recent album, the covers collection Back Pages, was released in July 2011.

Meanwhile, America has about 20 concerts lined up in the U.S. this year. The band’s itinerary runs from an April 18 show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, through an August 23 performance in Rochester, Minnesota. Several of the gigs, including the Atlantic City concert, will be co-headlining dates with The Beach Boys. America also is scheduled to journey to New Zealand and Australia during May, and will visit Argentina and Brazil in mid-June.
