James O’MaraCarole King‘s story will be told on the big screen, thanks in part to Tom Hanks.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is adapting the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as a film, according to Variety. Hanks will co-produce the project.

Hanks previously produced the film version of Mamma Mia! and wrote, directed and starred in another musical flick, That Thing You Do!

Sony acquired the rights to King’s life and music, so the Beautiful movie will include many of her hits. The Broadway show features classics like “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”
