The influential New Wave act has announced plans for a month-long tour that will visit cities across the continent. The trek kicks off with a June 27 gig opening for ex-Smiths singer Morrissey at Madison Square Garden in New York City, although most of the dates will be joint performances with Melissa Etheridge.

The tour also will include a July 20 show in Airway Heights, Washington, where Blondie will be accompanied by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, as well as Etheridge. The outing is mapped out through a July 26 concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

News of Blondie’s summer tour comes on the heels of frontwoman Debbie Harry recent solo residency at the Café Carlysle in New York City.
