Columbia RecordsBob Dylan will perform a rare television performance in honor of David Letterman‘s penultimate episode next Tuesday.

This will be Dylan’s first performance on Late Show with David Letterman in nearly 22 years. He previously appeared November 18, 1993, during the show’s inaugural season on CBS. Previously, he’d performed on Letterman’s NBC Late Night show twice: on March 22, 1984 and on Late Night‘s 10th anniversary show January 18, 1992.

Next Tuesday’s performance also marks Dylan’s first television performance since the February release of his most recent album, Shadows in the Night.

Dylan will join Letterman’s last guest ever, Bill Murray, as part of the show’s final three broadcasts. Previously announced guests Tom Hanks and Eddie Vedder will appear Monday, May 18.
