Credit: William ClaxtonJust a reminder that Bob Dylan will make a rare television appearance tonight when he performs on the next-to-last episode of CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman. The folk-rock legend will be the evening’s musical guest, while Bill Murray also will appear on the show, which airs at 11:35 p.m. ET/10:35 p.m. CT.

Dylan’s only other Late Show performance happened almost 22 years ago, when he appeared on November 18, 1993, during the program’s first season. Previously, he’d performed twice on NBC’s Late Night with David Letterman: on March 22, 1984 and on the show’s 10th anniversary episode on January 18, 1992.

Tonight’s appearance also will be Dylan’s first television performance since the February release of his most recent album, Shadows in the Night.

David Letterman‘s final Late Show will take place on Wednesday, May 20. No guests have been announced for the program.
