April is ‘Donate Life Month’!

Do you have a heart on your drivers license or state ID card? If you do, that means that you have signed up to be an organ, tissue and eye donor! If you don’t have that heart, maybe you should consider getting one! Did you know that One organ donor can bring the gift of life to nearly 50 people?!?!? Really— FIFTY people! That’s AMAZING!

April is nationally recognized as ‘Donate Life Month’ and what a great time to think about helping others out and putting that little heart on your license. The more people that can and will do this, the more people can benefit. At some point in your life, if you ever have the chance to meet a recipient of a donor, you truly get to see how grateful people can be. It’s an amazing thing.

To enroll on the state Organ Donor Registry, visit the Department of State Web Site at: www.Michigan.gov.sos or visit any Secretary of State office!
