It’s been a pretty eventful week here at the station and it’s shaping up to be an even more eventful weekend this Valentines Weekend! There are so many things to check out and go see this weekend including: the ‘Red Carpet Charity Ball’, a fishing derby, Texas Hold ‘Em tourney and a Chili Fest! We’ve got information on all of these events on our “Calendar” that is on our website wqxo.com.
I also talked to Mike at the Chamber over in Grand Marais. They are having a “Cabin Fever Saturday” this weekend. it sounds like a blast! At 10:00, they will kick the day off with a snowmobile poker run. Starting at noon, they are going to have Ice Bowling for both kids and adults. 2:00, a Cardboard sled race, and at 3:00, they will have a snowshoe poker run. After all of this fun, between 3-6pm, they will be having a Soup Cook-off and dinner! There will be tons of other things to do on Saturday including a 50/50 drawing and all kid participants WILL get a prize! So get out of the house- check things out!
