Grand Marais – The lower Hurricane River Campground will re-open on Friday, July 16 at 8 a.m. Guided tours of the Au Sable Light Station will also begin.

Access will be from the east (Grand Marais) only. It is likely that access to Hurricane River Campground will be interrupted for a short periods of time throughout the summer. Short term closures may occur. H-58 is
construction zone. Use caution when driving this road!

The trail between the upper and lower sections of Hurricane River Campground is open with a temporary trail re-route. Use caution while walking this trail.

Grand Marais – The 11th Annual Sea Plane “Splash on the Bay” will be held Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 20 in Grand Marais.

Watch as Sea Planes “splash in” on the bay! This is an all day event with planes arriving on Friday afternoon and departing on Sunday morning. With aviation games and a steak fry dinner on Saturday.
