munisingFelch, MI – The Mustangs will have their work cut out for them tonight if they want to get back on track this season.  After falling to 0-2 last week to Powers North Central 14-12, the Mustangs will now move forward to a North Dickinson team that has shown no mercy so far this season.  North Dickinson comes into tonight’s contest 2-0 defeating it’s first two opponents by a combined score of 96-12.  Even worse for the Mustangs, this is the Nordics’ home-opener, so they won’t be able to bank on N. Dickinson to be looking past them.

The Mustangs just didn’t have the breaks go their way in last week’s contest vs. Power North Central.  While out gaining PNC in total yardage 312-221, Munising just couldn’t put the ball in the end zone when it counted.  If the Mustangs are going to win this game they’re going to have to rely heavily on Running back Cody Hayes who ran for 83 yards on 22 carries last week, as well as Quarterback Austin Kelto to be effective in this game.  Kelto threw the ball every effectively last week to the tune of 202 yards on 10 completions.  Hopefully the Mustangs will have that big play ability tonight as it has been tough for teams to produce against this Nordic defense.
