The third game of the season for the Munising Mustangs started with a bang, when the Munising Mustangs completed a 57 yard run for a touchdown on their very first drive. On the very next drive, the Munising Mustangs forced a fumble, and were able to recover the ball. The fumble recovery gave the Munising Mustangs another touchdown, making the score 14-0. A second fumble recovery gave the Munising Mustangs another chance to score half way through the first quarter, but the Munising Mustangs were unable to capitolize on their drive toward the goal line. The North Dickinson Nordics attempted a fake punt late in the first quarter, but they were unable to move the sticks in their favor.

First Quarter Score:
Munising Mustangs: 14
North Dickinson Nordics: 0

Second quarter action resumed with the Munising Mustangs scoring a touchdown four seconds into the quarter, making the score 21-0, and continuing the Munising Mustangs domination in the game. Both the Munising Mustangs and the North Dickinson Nordics stayed with a running-heavy offense for most of the first half. The North Dickinson Nordics did their best to hold the Munising Mustangs back, but were unable to stop them with seven minutes left in the first half, making the score 27-0 due to a missed extra point attempt. Colin Immel and Garrett Blank were both vital to the Munising Mustangs dominant running game. The North Dickinson Nordics again attempted a fake punt late in the first half, and were able to complete the first-down attempt. However, despite their best attempts, the North Dickinson Nordics were unable to put points onto the board in the first two quarters.

The Munising Mustangs vs the North Dickinson Nordics High School football game resumed second half action with Munising kicking-off to the North Dickinson Nordics. The North Dickinson Nordics started the half with a 10+ minute drive, but they were unable to put any points onto the scoreboard. A personal foul (roughing the kicker) gave the North Dickinson Nordics the yardage that they needed to continue their drive toward the goal line late in the quarter. The North Dickinson Nordics were able to convert four seperate first-down attempts as they continued their drive toward the end zone, but the quarter ended without any scoring.

The final quarter of action began with the North Dickinson Nordics continuing their drive that they started at the beginning of the third quarter. However, the North Dickinson Nordics were unable to make anything happen, despite the great length of their drive. The Munising Mustangs received the ball deep in their own territory, and were able to score a touchdown and extra point on a 98-yard drive to make the score Munising Mustangs 34 and North Dickinson Nordics 0. Despite their best efforts, the North Dickinson Nordics were unable to put any points on the board throughout the game, but their efforts were very valiant. The Munising Mustangs play at home again next Friday against the Newberry Indians on 09/19/2014.
