11/15/2014 NMU Superior Dome Marquette, MI – The Munising Mustangs kicked off to start their playoff game against the Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans at the NMU Superior Dome on a cold and silent November night. The excitement was palpable as the stands filled with fans. The Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans started the night by scoring a touchdown on their opening drive. They failed to score a two point conversion however, so the score was 6-0 early in favor of the Trojans. The Munising Mustangs did their best to fight back, and they did just that when they scored a safety on a fumbled snap to make the score 6-2. Garrett Blank scored a touchdown on a great run from the red zone and a good extra point kick made the score 9-6 at the end of the first quarter.

Garrett Blank threw a 40 yard pitch-pass to Andy Cooper in the second quarter to put the Munising Mustangs on the five yard line. The Munising Mustangs scored a few plays later on a 17 yard touchdown pass, caught by Alex Hill with 4 minutes left in the half, to put them up 16-6. Brett Johnson made a great block to help Garrett Blank make a huge run to get the Munising Mustangs into scoring position just before the half, but they were unable to convert a score before time ran out in the half.

Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans: 6
The third quarter started with an onside kick attempt by the Trojans, which the Mustangs recovered. The Munising Mustangs scored on their first drive on a run by Garret Blank to put the Mustangs up 23-6 with five minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The Mustangs got the ball back a few minutes later with an interception on defense with 1:10 left in the quarter, but no further scoring occurred in the quarter.

Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans: 6
The Munising Mustangs scored on another touchdown by Garrett Blank early in the 4th quarter to take a 30-6 lead. The Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans responded with a touchdown to make it a 30-14 lead for the Mustangs. The Munising Mustangs then put a dagger in the Trojans with a 93 yard touchdown pass to put them up 36-14. The following Trojans drive was stopped short by an interception by Andy Cooper to give the Mustangs the ball back with 6:30 left in the game. The Mustangs scored on their last drive to make the score 43-14, and held on to that score until the game ended.
