Marquette, MI – December 18, 2015 – A resident of Marquette walked away from our giveaway party tonight as the Grand Prize Winner! She won an all-inclusive, 5-night stay for two at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. This trip includes a park-n-fly hotel room for two in Chicago or Milwaukee for one night, two round-trip charter flights from Chicago or Milwaukee to Cancun, and round-trip transfers from the airport to the resort!
None of our 7 finalists walked away empty-handed. Garret Green won the $100 Gift Certificate from Wattsson & Wattsson Jewelers in Marquette. Amber Robiutaille won a Guy’s Gift Basket and Nollan Pettersen won a Women’s Gift Basket from Super One Foods. Brenda Alexander won the Car Care Club Membership from Southside Automotive. Cassandra Evers won the Miller High Life Cooler Package from Bayside Beverage, a Division of Great Lakes Wine & Spirits, and Pam Prusi won the $100 Gift Certificate from MC Sports!
With Dennis and DeeDee manning the doors, guests filed into the banquet center filling the room with excited chatter. Red Rock Lanes looked great thanks to staff’s hard work putting up festive decorations. Once everyone was seated, our guests were ready for some amazing Italian food, and to find out if they would win a trip to Mexico.
Mama Russo’s did a fantastic job catering! They kept smiles on guest’s faces and everyone got their fill of delicious food! Guests loaded their plates with phenomenal lasagna, cudighi bites, and homemade salads. Afterwards, Walt gave out the last of the door prizes. Lake Superior Knives gave away a Buck folding knife to winner Linn Klemola from Gwinn.
Biolife Plasma Center raffled off two $50.00 gift cards to Max Smith from Rochester, and Angela Whitman from Manistique. All proceeds from Biolife’s raffle will go to a family in need this holiday season. Next, our guests lined up for a festive game of corn-hole!
Smiles flashed across our guests’ faces as they took their turn tossing the bean bag towards the hole. If the bag went through the hole, the guest received a free game of bowling from Red Rock Lanes!
To end an amazing night with a bunch of loyal listeners and awesome sponsors, we announced the grand prize winner! Each of the 7 finalists took their favorite station envelope and hoped that it contained the grand prize, two tickets to paradise! A resident of Marquette won the grand prize! She will be enjoying a warm vacation in Mexico thanks to Great Lakes Radio and Holiday Travel!
