partnership with USFS, The Nature Conservancy, Michigan DNR and local
fire professionals.
Who should come: Garden, Nahma, Masonville, Ensign, and Bay de Noc
Township residents or anyone who is interested.

Program goal: To create a future where wildland fires occur without
the loss of lives, homes and structures.
Program Objectives
• Overview of Eastern Delta County Community Wildfire Protection
Plan
• Understand the threat of wildfire to your home and family
• Understand your role as a home owner in partnership with fire
professionals
• Learn how homes burn
• Learn how to create defensible space
• Understand what to do in a wildland fire emergency
• Help us identify actions to reduce wildfire risk through
vegetative fuel reductions, better signage, road improvements,
improved driveway access, or education.
