YOUTH EVENTS
DayKamp
Summer Day Kamp is held Monday through Friday 7 am – 5 p.m. Program will run through August 19, 2011. A great place for your kids to spend the summer.
Tang Soo Do
Traditional Korean karate. This will be a monthly class with payment due to APRD by the 1st of each month. Class is held every Monday & Wednesday from 5:30 – 6:30p.m. Instructor guarantees seven sessions each month. Ages 6 and up. Give us a call for more information.
ADULT EVENTS
Fitness Center:
Open seven days a week from 6 am. to 11 pm. for your convenience. No matter the season, we all know we need to exercise and be healthy. With our affordable rates, great hours and location, you have no excuses. Come spend 30 minutes or more. The Fitness Center has many cardio, weight machines and other equipment to get a full body workout. Take care of yourself to live your best life.
Personal Trainer:
Do you feel like you do not know where to start, or you are not confident in what you are doing, or just want to get to that next level? Our Trainer – Les Rochefort – not only gets you going on an exercise program, but he gets the nutritional end of your program on track. The initial consultation is free. Join as an individual or as a group. Take advantage of this great service right here in Munising at the Fitness Center.
Lunch and a Movie:
The second Thursday of every month a great group of folks hop on the Altran bus at 9:30 am to enjoy an afternoon of fun with lunch then a movie of your choice. This is a day of fun and laughter, good times and good friends. Why not join us, get out of the house, and meet some new people. The bus makes stops at the Lakeshore Manor, Christmas Casino, AuTrain and the Chatham and Rumley area for your convenience. These trips are in coordination with the Alger County Commission on Aging. Next trip is scheduled for August 11, 2011.
Concert in the Park
Our great summer concert series is held on Tuesday evenings. The next concert is August 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at beautiful BayShore Park. The band “All Strings Considered” will be our entertainers for the night. More great music each and every Tuesday through August. We have popcorn, root beer floats, candy and water for sale.
