Munising – The Alger County Historical Society’s “Barbecue by the Bay” fundraiser will be held Sunday, August 14 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Alger County Heritage Center on Washington Street in Munising.
Johnny Dogs will be catering the barbecue with a choice of specialty dog, brat or pulled pork. There will also be choices of potato salad, coleslaw or pasta salad with dessert and a drink. The Alger Community Band will be performing from 1 to 3 p.m.
The historical society’s museum, fur trader’s cabin, and blacksmith shop will all be open for viewing. Raffles and door prizes will be ongoing throughout the day.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children and are available at the heritage center of from any Alger County Historical Society Board member.
