Unused Prescription Medicine Disposal

9

There will be a supervised prescription med disposal available on April 20th  and 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  at the Senior Center, located on  208 Superior Street in Munising.

If you have unused medication either prescription or over the counter, you can dispose of them for free. This  controlled disposal is intended to change older habits of dumping them in the toilet or placing them in private garbage because they will eventually end up in our public water supply.

It is spring cleaning time so let’s clean our medicine chest out. Also the Lions will be collecting used glasses and hearing aids.  If you are a senior citizen, you can get free transportation from ALTRAN.

Thanks for your cooperation george

Ruth Snyder from the Munising Lion’s Club talked about the drug collection disposal with George in the Morning. You can listen to their discussion from our archive HERE.
