Senator Tom Casperson talked with me on my show this morning, discussing several topics. During my interview with Senator Casperson I learned the following:
1. The budget is not cast in stone yet, so the resident unit officer (RUO) and perimeter response vehicle (PRV) are still on hold even though the Department of Corrections (DOC) has pulled them they can still be brought back. It is important write your senator and the Governor and let them know how you feel.
2. We learned a lot about how the DNR just took it upon themselves to destroy the businesses of the hog farmers who were promoting hog hunting in Michigan on fenced in ranches. He also told us how the DNR deceived the public by using Texas as an example of how the pigs destroyed the land. Texas brought in the pigs and turned them loose. in Michigan they were managed on fenced in farms.
3. We heard how the schools have turned their focus totally on getting young people ready for college, when in fact, not everybody does well in college. We have taken the trades out of education and left those talented youth high and dry with no place to go or training to market.
