(Munising, Michigan) – The Cooking Carberrys (Char, Peggy and Sue) are joining forces with non-profit groups “To Give Back One Pizza At A Time” by holding pizza fundraisers all Summer long.
On June 30, 2013 down at Bayshore Park in Munising the Cooking Carberrys will be teaming up with Munising Bay Trail Network to raise funds through baking pizzas for multi use trail system that is being built in the hills surrounding Munising. The Carberrys and MBTN will start baking pizzas in the wood fired oven starting at noon in conjunction with Hiawatha Telephone Company’s free concert featuring Marty’s Goldenaires.
The Goldenaires is a drum and bugle corp that will be marching through Munising starting around 1:30 p.m. and ending with a free concert in Bayshore Park at 3 p.m.
MBTN is fundraising so they can purchase a mini excavator to make the trail building much faster then their current process of building the trails by hand. This trail system will be for non-motorized use. Mountain bikers, runners, hikers, dog walkers will all be welcomed on the trails. The trail system is in cooperation with the City of Munising.
The trails are being built in the hills surrounding the City of Munising. So head down to Bayshore Park enjoy some wood fired pizza while listening to the Goldenaires and bring back memories of when Munising also had a great drum and bugle corp know as the Silver Echoes.

Support these groups by pur-chasing pizzas or donating your time by working your favorite groups event. Set up starts at 2 p.m. Pizzas served at 4 p.m. Clean up at 9 p.m.
