It was a hot, muggy Saturday afternoon in Pellston as the Mustangs visited the Hornets on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

First Quarter
Pellston Hornets receive the opening kick. Will start at their own 46. Mustangs take possession after a failed Hornets drive. Kane Nebel grabs the first Mustang TD. Two-point conversion successful. Micaiah Peramaki with a 25-yard run on second Mustang possession. Nebel interception at Mustangs 2-yard line. 78-yard run by Peramaki, grabs the second touchdown. Nebel goes for 2-point conversion but is “swarmed by Hornets”. Garret Cameron makes the Hornets first touchdown. Josiah Peramaki drags Hornets for 18 yards on a powerful run. Josiah picks up another touchdown. Hornets fumble and Mustangs recover.
Second Quarter
Josiah Peramaki grabs a TD and Nebel makes the two-point conversion, bringing the score to 30-6. Josiah Peramaki strips the ball from the Hornets, forcing a fumble and recovers the ball for the Mustangs. Josiah Peramaki makes a touchdown and two-point conversion, bringing the score to 38-6. Nebel has yet to make an incomplete pass. Hornets fumble and recover, losing 20 yards. Hornets punt from their own 42 with 6:29 remaining. Jacob Mattson runs water out to officials (out with injured hamstring). Micaiah Peramaki touchdown on 56-yard pass. Failed conversion puts the game at 44-6 Mustangs. With 2:30 left, Hornets are at the Mustang 21. Hornets fumble and recover. Hornets fail to cash in at the end. Turnover on downs. Mustangs took a knee to take us to the half.

Mustangs receive. Mustangs turnover. Hornets fumble and Mustangs recover at Hornets’ 35. Mustangs fumble and recover 5-yard loss. 3rd and 15. 4th and 20 – missed pitch Andrew Cain recovers. Munising punts. Hornets fumble and recover. 4th and 12. Mustangs at Hornets 49.
Fourth Quarter
Mustangs touchdown by Tyler Nelson. Andrew Cain makes two-point conversion, bringing us to 52-6. With 11:47 remaining, Cain makes the tackle after kick off. Tyler Nelson with an interception at the very end of the game. 52-6 Mustangs, final score.
