The Mustangs hosted a young team from Brimley on Saturday, Oct 8, 2022. You might think the Mustangs cruelly ran up the score, but you’d be mistaken. The Brimley Bays have an offense that heavily favors the passing game, which does not eat up the clock much, especially with the pressure from the Mustangs D. Coach Mattson was able to field his second and third-string players as well as some guys from the JV squad that had shown up earlier in the day to face what would prove to be a no-show squad. Brimley staff and players were glad to get the experience and chose to continue in the second half despite an extreme deficit. We respect the decisions made by the coaches and staff and appreciate what each achieved during the course of the game.
