Rapid River – The Michigan State University Extension in partnership with U.S. Fire Service, The Nature Conservancy, Michigan DNR and local fire professionals will offer the workshop ” Are You Fire Ready”
on Wednesday August 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Masonville Township Hall in Rapid River.
The goal of the program is to create a future where wildland fires occur without the loss of lives, homes and structures. Understand the threat of wildfire to your home and family, your role as a home owner in partnership with fire professionals, learn how homes burn, learn how to create defensible space, and understand what to do in a wildland fire emergency.
